License Troubleshooting

When the Yaxii COD license is not recognized, the theme enters a restricted mode where the storefront, checkout, and COD features do not load — only the Settings panel and License screen remain accessible. This page identifies the exact error messages you may see in the admin panel and gives you clear steps to resolve each one without contacting support.

Common License Errors and Fixes

Error Message	What It Means	How to Fix It
Invalid license key	The key you entered does not match any license in the system.	Copy the key directly from your Yaxii account — do not type it manually. Check for extra spaces at the start or end.
License already in use on another site	Your license is activated on a different domain and has reached its site limit.	Deactivate the license on the old site first (see steps below), then activate it here.
License expired	Your license period has ended.	Renew your license from your Yaxii account. The store will resume loading immediately after renewal.
Could not connect to the license server	Your server cannot reach the Yaxii license server. This is usually a firewall or outbound connection issue.	Ask your hosting provider to allow outbound connections. The license server address is shown on the error screen.
Domain mismatch	The license was activated on a different domain than the one currently running WordPress.	If you migrated your site to a new domain, deactivate and reactivate the license on the new domain.

How to Deactivate and Reactivate Your License

Open the License Screen

Click Deactivate
Click the Deactivate License button. The status will change to Inactive. This frees the license slot on the current domain. [Screenshot: License screen showing the Deactivate button]

Re-enter Your License Key
Paste your license key into the input field again and click Activate. [Screenshot: License key input field with the Activate button]

Confirm the Status
Wait for the status to update to Active. If activation succeeds, the theme features will reload within a few seconds. [Screenshot: License status showing “Active” in green]

If Your Store Is Still Locked After Activation

In rare cases, the theme may remain in restricted mode for a few seconds after a successful activation while the license status refreshes. Try the following:

Hard-refresh the page: press
Ctrl+Shift+R

on Windows or

Cmd+Shift+R

on macOS

Clear any page caching from your caching plugin or hosting control panel
Log out of WordPress and log back in

Contacting Support

If none of the steps above resolve the issue, open a support ticket from your Yaxii account. To speed up the response, include the following information:

Your WordPress site URL
The exact error message shown on the License screen
Your WordPress version and PHP version (found in Tools > Site Health > Info > Server)
