Security And Performance

Security & Performance Settings

COD merchants in Algeria and across North Africa serve an almost entirely mobile audience — desktop traffic generates near-zero sales while consuming server resources, polluting analytics with irrelevant sessions, and occasionally producing fraudulent orders. Yaxii COD includes a built-in desktop visitor blocker specifically designed for this market, alongside a lightweight front-page caching layer that keeps the storefront fast on basic shared hosting. This section also covers the two general store settings — trust badges and currency symbol — that complete the storefront configuration.

Block Desktop Visitors

When enabled, any visitor arriving on a desktop or laptop browser sees a notice informing them that the store is optimized for mobile. Mobile visitors continue to see the full storefront with no interruption.

To enable it, go to Yaxii COD > Settings > Security and toggle Block Desktop Visitors to on. Click Save Settings.

Trust Badges

Trust badges are a row of icons displayed on the homepage that signal your store’s reliability to first-time customers. The default set communicates four promises: Free Delivery, Cash on Delivery, Easy Exchanges, and Order Tracking.

To show or hide the trust badges row globally, go to Yaxii COD > Settings > General and toggle Show Trust Badges. To customize the badge text and icons, use the Trust Badges section in the Storefront Builder — see the Storefront Builder documentation for those steps.

Custom Currency Symbol

By default, the storefront uses the currency symbol set in WooCommerce > Settings > General > Currency. If you need to display a different symbol specifically within the Yaxii COD storefront — for example, showing “DZD” as text instead of a symbol — enter it in the Custom Currency Symbol field under Yaxii COD > Settings > General.

Leave this field empty to use the WooCommerce default currency symbol.

What’s Next?

Your theme is fully configured. The next step is building your homepage layout — adding hero sliders, product carousels, category rows, and promotional banners from the Storefront Builder.
