Important: Yaxii Smart Form Versions Below 3.0 Will Be Retired

Yaxii Dev is officially retiring the legacy generation of Yaxii Smart Form.

This change affects Yaxii Smart Form 2.6.0 and every other version released before 3.0.0.

Yaxii Smart Form 3.0 was not a normal feature update. It introduced a complete refactor of the plugin architecture and moved Yaxii Smart Form to the current Yaxii infrastructure.

The new generation was rebuilt to provide stronger security, better stability, improved performance, more reliable integrations, and a better experience for both store owners and their customers.

Why are versions below 3.0 being retired?

Versions released before Yaxii Smart Form 3.0 were built using an older plugin architecture and depend on legacy Yaxii API services.

These versions contain outdated internal components, known bugs, stability limitations, and compatibility issues that cannot be reliably maintained alongside the current plugin generation.

The legacy API infrastructure used by these versions is already unsupported. On September 5, 2026, it will be permanently retired.

Maintaining two completely different plugin architectures would reduce product reliability, delay security improvements, and make it harder to deliver stable updates.

For this reason, Yaxii Dev currently supports only Yaxii Smart Form 3.0.0 and newer.

What will happen on September 5, 2026?

After the deadline:

  • Legacy API services used by versions below 3.0.0 will be retired.
  • Older versions will no longer receive bug fixes.
  • Older versions will no longer receive security updates.
  • Compatibility fixes will only be provided for supported versions.
  • API-dependent features may stop working.
  • Some features may behave unexpectedly or become unavailable.
  • Compatibility with future WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, themes, and plugins cannot be guaranteed.
  • Technical support will require updating Yaxii Smart Form before an issue can be investigated.

The plugin may continue to load on some websites, but its complete functionality, security, stability, and compatibility will no longer be guaranteed.

Customers using Yaxii Smart Form 2.6.0 or any earlier 2.x version must update before the deadline.

Customers already using version 3.0.0 or newer are running on the supported Yaxii architecture. However, we still strongly recommend installing the latest available release to receive all current fixes, security improvements, and features.

How to check your installed version

    Open your WordPress dashboard
    Sign in to the administration area of your website.

    Open Installed Plugins
    Go to Plugins → Installed Plugins.

    Find Yaxii Smart Form
    Locate Yaxii Smart Form in the list of installed plugins.

    Check the version number
    The currently installed version is displayed below or beside the plugin name.

    Install the latest update
    If your version is below 3.0.0, update to the latest available release before September 5, 2026.

Before updating your website

Because Yaxii Smart Form 3.0 introduced major architectural changes, prepare your website before performing the update.

    Create a complete backup
    Back up your WordPress database and website files before installing the update.

    Verify your license
    Confirm that your Yaxii Smart Form license is active and connected to the correct website.

    Download the latest version
    Sign in to your Yaxii account and download the latest Yaxii Smart Form ZIP file if an automatic update is unavailable.

    Install the update
    Update the plugin through WordPress or upload the latest plugin ZIP file.

    Clear all caches
    Clear your WordPress cache, server cache, CDN cache, and browser cache after updating.

    Test the customer experience
    Open a product page in a private browser window and test the form, shipping fees, product variations, validation, and order submission.

    Verify the WooCommerce order
    Confirm that the test order appears correctly in WooCommerce with the expected customer, product, and delivery information.

What should you test after updating?

After installing the latest version, verify the following:

  • The order form appears on the correct products.
  • Customer fields display correctly.
  • Phone number validation works as expected.
  • Wilaya and commune selection works correctly.
  • Home delivery and office delivery options behave correctly.
  • Shipping fees are calculated correctly.
  • Product variations can be selected.
  • The order total is accurate.
  • The order is successfully created in WooCommerce.
  • Customer and delivery information is saved correctly.
  • Confirmation messages display correctly.
  • Shipping-provider integrations continue working when enabled.
